Making a Connection with Family

Recently I received an email from a relative living in Florida that I was unaware of. Dorothy Jackson is related to our grandmother’s brother, Buck. She found us while searching on the internet for family related to the Treadwell’s. She gave me her address and phone number and I gave her mine.

Several days later she called while I was at work, but spoke with both Hattie and Lois. Hattie’s brother, Clarence (who lives here in Toledo) then called to let us know that he had heard from Dorothy’s brother, who then preceded to call us.

Although I have yet to speak with Dorothy, personally, I found it very converting to know that I have family members willing to reach out and make connections. So many times, people do not take that extra step to reach out to others.

If you wish to contact Dorothy, please drop me a note and I will forward your contact information to her. She reached out to us, so I would like to return the welcome.
